See A Spectacular View Of Michigan Memorial Day Weekend
If heights aren't an issue for you, consider these Memorial Day plans.
According to MLive, Copper Peak is opening this weekend, just in time for Memorial Day! However, it won't be for ski flying (which is what its main use is in the snowier months). Instead, Copper Peak is opening its Adventure Ride.
Copper Peak's Adventure Ride offers up the breath taking views from atop the ski flying hill, but without all the huffing and puffing to get to the top. Visitors take a chair lift to the top of the hill. From there, you'll take an elevator up 18 stories to the observation deck. And if you REALLY want to get to the tipity top, you can walk the "additional 8 stories to the top staring gate." Those with acrophobia will probably want to pass on that last part.
Once you get to the top, you're in store for a gorgeous view! According to the Copper Peak website, it's "the highest, most awe-inspiring, unobstructed vista in the Midwest overlooking over 2500 miles, 3 states, and even Canada on a clear day." The Adventure ride is $20 for adults and $8 for kids. Get more info here.
