$2 Million Offered to Michigan for a Banana Car? The Truth Revealed
If you've ever seen a giant banana driving the roads of Michigan, or many other states for that matter—no, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. There is an actual banana car on the roadways.
The Big Banana Car
The Big Banana Car, as it's officially called, was created by and is owned by Steve Braithwaite. Steve took a 1993 Ford F-150 pickup truck and turned it into a giant, street-legal banana.
If you follow the Big Banana Car, you might have seen a story that Steve was offered a large sum of money by Jesse Cole—owner of the Savannah Bananas—to create another giant banana car. And when I say large sum of money, I really mean it, because LegitSportsNews claims that Steve was offered $2 million, for a Savannah Banana Car.
Was There Really a $2 Million Offer?
Now, while that might seem like a sweet deal for Steve and a great branding opportunity for the Savannah Bananas... apparently it's not true.

Yes—despite being from LegitSportsNews, it seems that this whole thing is too good to be true.
Setting the Record Straight
I'm not spouting hearsay, this is coming straight from Steve Braithwaite, creator of the Big Banana Car, himself. You can read his own words HERE in a Facebook post.
So, unless something changes, it doesn't appear that Steve and the Savannah Bananas will be teaming up. But there are chances to see Steve and the Big Banana Car around town.
