America’s Wackiest Sport is Coming to West Michigan
Have you ever heard of Banana Ball?
I know, it sounds like the craziest thing of all time, right? Well, that's because it kind of is...
Banana Ball is this Harlem Globetrotters-esque take on baseball, and it's absolutely sweeping the nation. The game has a slightly different set of rules (like fans can catch a foul ball and it's considered 'out'), it has stunts, dancing, fun entertainment, and it's so popular that tickets sell out.
Well, get ready, because this wacky game is coming to Michigan!
Banana Ball World Tour is Coming to Michigan
Announced earlier in October, the West Michigan Whitecaps announced that the Banana Ball World Tour plans to make a stop at LMCU Ballpark near Grand Rapids next summer.
Here's a little sneak peek at what you'll be in for if you're able to attend a game.
Just a little dance break in the midst of the game... that's pretty much the usual. And these little dance breaks have earned them millions of views on TikTok.
Banana Ball Coming to West Michigan in Summer 2025
If you want to see Banana Ball in action, The Savannah Bananas rival, The Party Animals, are going to be playing where the Whitecaps typically play near Grand Rapids, at LMCU Ballpark. The Party Animals will take on The Firefighters June 12th, 13th, and 14th in 2025.

Here's the deal; if you want to buy tickets to see them play, you have to join a lottery to even get a chance to buy a ticket. These games are so popular that, according to their website, "Since the first season, we’ve sold out every single game – over 200 and counting."
If you want to join the lottery, you can find that info HERE. Just be sure to do it quickly, because the lottery closes November 1st, 2024. And as of October 14th, the lottery for the Grand Rapids game broke 80,000 entries... that ballpark seats 10,000 fans.
