The Perfect "Lansing" Halloween Costume
If you're gonna dress up as "Lansing", you've got to give props to nearby Michigan State University. Like most places, Lansing's got its positives and negatives - but no matter where you go, you're probably gonna detect a little whiff of marijuana in the air.
Dressing Up As "Grand Rapids"
Grand Rapids is "Beer City, USA", so you've got to give a nod to that. The city's got a strong Dutch Reformed heritage, and has the stereotype of being a Republican stronghold.
How Would You Dress As "Traverse City"?
A "Traverse City" costume can be accomplished pretty easily. Cherries and camping. Done.
The Perfect "Ann Arbor" Costume
Deserved or not, Ann Arbor has a hoity-toity reputation. Find a blue-and-maize "Karen"-style wig to pay homage to the University of Michigan, and over-accessorize to show your wealth, and you'll be good to go.
How Can I Dress Up As "Battle Creek"?
Cereal. Rust. Bam. Done.
Want to Be "Flint" for Halloween?
We resisted the urge to involve water in our Flint costume, hence the reason the arsonist's fire at this abandoned home is still blazing. Have someone you know dress as a cop car to really pull this off.
An "Up North" Costume
This time of year, "Up North" means hunting in Michigan. All times of the year, "Up North" means pasties.
Dressing As "Detroit"
We'd love to show you the perfect costume to encapsulate the resurgence of Detroit, but you know... crime.
We'll just leave this one here.
