If you find yourself swimming at Muskegon Lake this summer, be sure to look out for the ice cream man, because he's upgraded to pontoon.

When I was a kid, one of the highlights of the summer would be when the ice cream man would drive through my neighborhood. It was the perfect sweet treat on a hot day. So it's no wonder that people love that the ice cream man has now taken to the water.

Floating Ice Cream Man on Michigan Lake

There's a brand-new floating ice cream shop called Popisicle Pontoon that's serving up frozen, sweet treats along the shores of Muskegon Lake. First of all, what an awesome name. Popsicle Pontoon is owned by Amy Coffey and she and her family just started their business in June of 2024. But every weekend that they've been on Muskegon Lake, they've been serving up their fair share of snow cones, ice cream sandwiches, and standard favorites, like Drumsticks.

This isn't the first time that someone has thought to take the ice cream man concept to the water.
