Police In Michigan Looking For Suspects Who Cut Off Ponies’ Tails
This is beyond ridiculous.
Police in Trenton, Michigan say three ponies and a horse that give rides to children had their tails cut off earlier this week at a suburban Detroit park. The tails were cut sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon at Elizabeth Park in Trenton, where the animals are kept.
According to CBS Detroit, the owner says that it will take at least a year for the tails to fully grow back. If you didn't know, the tail is very important to a pony especially in the summer, when they're used to swat away mosquitoes, flies and other biting insects. Police say animal cruelty charges could be brought. Anyone with information is asked to call the Trenton Police Department's Detective Bureau at 734-676-3825.
