Alexandra Kay Draws Record Crowd for ‘WITL Night Out’ in Lansing
If you needed proof that country music fans in Mid-Michigan show up, Wednesday night's "WITL Night Out" with Alexandra Kay was all the evidence you could ever need.
Fans Began Lining Up Hours Before Doors Opened
Our free show at Lansing Brewing Company was one of those nights you knew was going to be special before the first note was even played. Doors didn't open until 6 p.m., but fans started lining up hours beforehand. By showtime, the place had reached its 250-person capacity, and there were at least that many people still outside hoping to catch a glimpse.

Thankfully, Lansing Brewing Company threw open the big garage doors so everyone outside could still hear the music. It wasn't the same as being inside, but it turned the whole evening into one giant country music party.

Considering Alexandra Kay has more than 8 million followers across social media, maybe we shouldn't have been surprised. She posted about the free Lansing show three different times, personally inviting fans to come hang out with us. And they absolutely did.
Alexandra Kay Stayed Nearly Two Hours Meeting Fans
What impressed me most wasn't Alexandra's performance. After her set, she stayed for nearly two hours taking photos, signing autographs, and making sure as many fans as possible got a chance to meet her. That's the kind of artist people remember.
Madison Olivia Kept the Party Going
The night kept rolling with Michigan's own Madison Olivia, who absolutely rocked the stage with her full band. And yes... I even got the chance to jump up and sing "Tennessee Whiskey" with Madison. I had an absolute blast.

To everyone who came out, waited in line, sang along, and helped make this the biggest "WITL Night Out" event we've ever had... thank you. Nights like this remind me why I love living and working in Mid-Michigan.
