People Are Moving To Michigan For Family and Jobs
Just six years ago, Michigan was one of the states people were moving OUT of at a much higher rate than people who were moving TO Michigan. According to stats from United Van Lines, those numbers have now balanced out. According to their numbers, in 2017, 52% of the moves were people moving out of Michigan while 48% were people moving INTO Michigan.
Of the people who were moving into Michigan, 55% moved here for a job and 31% moved here for family. Good news on both fronts. And of people aged 18-44, more people actually moved into Michigan than out of the state.
If you're reading this in some other state - move back. The traffic's much better and it would make your mom happy. And there's a lot more craft beer here now, so....
