If you live in Lansing, you should probably know that the rules have changed regarding the amount of days (nights) that you can set off your fireworks. Last year, the state legislature made changes to the amount of days that you can legally set off fireworks in in the state, and last night the Lansing City Council approved a similar ordinance that will reduce the number of days you can set off fireworks in the city. The new ordinance that was passed last night shortens the number of days that you can legally set off fireworks in the city of Lansing from 30 days to 12 days.
