Nassar Survivors Recognized At ESPYs
It was an emotional night at the ESPYs last night as more than 140 survivors of sexual abuse by Larry Nassar, a former team doctor for USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University, joined hands on stage to be honored with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman gave a powerful speech that included recognition of Ingham County Judge Rosemarie Aquilina and her part in giving the survivors a voice. Nassar is currently serving 40 to 175 years for sexually abusing women and girls under the guise of performing medical treatment.
