Munich is so far away – hmmm – where else could I go for Oktoberfest?
Time to wash the beer steins and get the lederhosen and barmaid outfits out of the attic. Or wherever you keep those outfits at your house. It's time for Oktoberfest. And thank God you live in a state full of people with German ancestry.
According to the folks at Thrillist, you're not too far away from one of their "Greatest German Beer Halls in America". Those who've been there before have probably already figured out that we're talking about the Bavarian Inn over in Frankenmuth. I have to admit that, while I've been to Frankenmuth dozens of times, I have yet to go during Oktoberfest. That may have to change this year.
Which is now another of my bucket lists.
