“Most Impactful Inventions By State”? One of Lansing’s faves made the cut
According to marketwatch.com, MidAmerica Nazarene University in Kansas, has come out with a list of the "Most Impactful Inventions" in each state. Some are pretty huge - the cell phone was invented in Illinois. While some are not as sexy, like the shovel handle, invented in Wyoming.
In Michigan, they salute Lansing's own Ransom E. Olds, for his invention of the first assembly line (Ford just improved on the idea by putting everything on a conveyor belt).
