So who makes the cut in Mid-Michigan?
At #10, Alma kicks things off, followed by Eaton Rapids and Charlotte — three smaller communities that all have that "everybody here knows everybody" vibe.
East Lansing lands at #7, which isn't terribly surprising. The city is basically powered by Michigan State University, which means things are always lively, diverse, and buzzing.
The middle of the list has Marshall, St. Louis, and Ionia — all small towns that balance small-town charm with easy access to bigger cities.
Mason comes in at #3. It's a small town, yes, but close enough to Lansing to make it a favorite for families.
St. Johns ranks as the 2nd-best place to live in Mid-Michigan. It's quiet, affordable, and known for its strong schools and classic Mid-Michigan charm.
