Michigan’s U.P. celebrates plenty of moose (and squirrel)
There's actually more moose in the Upper Peninsula than the DNR thought. In 2015, their survey had them thinking there were about 323 moose in the western U.P. According to the Free Press, their latest aerial survey has led them to up that number to between 420 and 470.
100 more moose? That's good news. (I know - it should be "meese". But it's not.)
