Of all those TV sitcoms that keep showing up either on streaming or weird hours on TV, "Home Improvement," starring our own Tim Allen, is Michigan's favorite. Not only is it Michigan's favorite, but it's also the favorite of Ohio and Wyoming. According to a story on MLive.com, this research was done by Dish Network, which says, "We found the top 15 sitcoms from the 1990s according to Ranker.com, then analyzed Google search volume from 2004 to the present to find out what show each state is searching for."

(In a gross oversight - IMO - it appears "Seinfeld" missed the Rankers.com "top 15" cut because it debuted in 1989 - but they included "The Simpsons." "Seinfeld" debuted in July 1989. "The Simpsons" debuted in December 1989.)

"Friends" came out on top, with "Friends" being the favorite in 12 states, followed by "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and "Saved By the Bell" in six states each.

My pick? "Seinfeld." (Sorry, Tim. You were my #2)

I will not be swayed by shoddy research.
