Michigan’s Mackinac Island Named Among the Best – Again
Mackinac Island has been named one of the 13 most tourist friendly cities in the U.S. by Expedia.com. They reason that there may be a lot of cities with cool things to do, but sometimes these places are tough to get around in, or the locals are "less than accommodating".
Mackinac Island makes the list this year along with famous destinations like Napa Valley, Williamsburg, Sedona, Gettysburg and Deadwood, South Dakota (somebody obviously likes their wine and history - and fudge).
If you've never been to Mackinac Island, I think this is the BEST time to visit, with the summer crowds down and the leaves changing up there. And, no - as much as it seems like it - Tim Allen did not hack into my computer to write this.
