Forty years ago, Frederick Monroe heard an unbelievable story. A friend of his told him a story about a boxcar, full of gold, being pushed off a ferry into northern Lake Michigan in the late 1800s.

Since then, according to WZZM Channel 13 in Grand Rapids, Frederick's been looking for that boxcar and another wreck - a sunken boat that's said to have a safe full of gold and jewels inside. Several years ago his buddy, Kevin Dykstra joined the search. Along the way, they've found other shipwrecks, so they know what they're doing. And now, they think they're getting close to finding the boxcar.

And, if the gold was worth $2 million forty years ago, just think about what it's worth now. The other question? Will the State of Michigan want a piece of it if they find the gold? (my guess is, "yes")
