Michigan researchers want to see how the dunes along Lake Michigan have changed over time. To do that, they're looking for old photos with views of the dunes on the Lake Michigan coast. According to the Ionia Sentinal-Standard, they want you or someone you know to send vacation photos (from at least 25 years ago) of the dunes. If you have some photos taken around the dunes from 1994 or before, they're interested. It would help even more if you could pinpoint the exact location the photo was taken. They'll be comparing older photos of the dunes with more recent photos to see how the dunes have changed. This actually makes a lot of sense.

And, I don't know how the winner will be chosen, but at the end of collecting all these photos, one of the submitters will win a prize.

So, get out the scrapbook and find those pictures from the summer of 1988 at the dunes. You and the dunes looked pretty good that summer.
