One of the truly great things about Michigan is...summer. For at least a hundred years people from all over the world have come to Michigan in the summertime to get away from the heat and get outdoors. One of the few drawbacks - mosquitoes.

The State of Texas may have just come up with the answer: "Predatory Tree Hole" mosquitoes. These mosquitoes kill and eat the larvae of regular mosquitoes AND they don't bite humans. They prefer nectar and tree sap. According to KHOU-TV, researchers near Houston are breeding the "Tree Hole" mosquitoes to see if they can make a dent in their blood-sucking mosquito population. If it works, we need to be next in line. I'll keep you updated.
