Flint-native, Claressa Shields is on to the women's boxing semi-finals on Friday. She captured a unanimous-decision victory over Russian Iaroslava Iakushina in the quarterfinals ealier this week. According to an article in the the LA Times, her coaches she may just be the best boxer in the world--male or female. She has secured the third boxing medal in the Olympic Games for the Unites States and if she wins two more fights, she’ll become the first repeat Olympic champion in U.S. boxing history.
