Michigan Native And Country Singer Anita Cochran Could Use Your Help
This week we learned from Banana Don and Stephanie McCoy that country singer Anita Cochran was battling breast cancer.
You may remember Anita from her #1 song "What If I Said", which was a duet with Steve Wariner that we played on WITL back in the late Nineties.
Anita is a native of South Lyon, Michigan, and was signed to Warner Brothers Records in 1994. Her debut project, “Back To You”, was the first from a female artist who not only sang, but also wrote, produced and played multiple instruments on a debut album.
"What If I Said", written by Cochran, topped the charts not only in the U.S., but also in Canada.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Anita with medical expenses and daily bills as her cancer treatment has made it impossible for her to go on the road and make a living as a musician. Click here to get more info and to help.
Here's the video for Anita's song, "What If I Said" with Steve Wariner.
