Michigan Man Says His 5,000 Pound Bridge Was Stolen
From the 'what the what' department--A man from the Farmington Hills area says his family's 5,000-pound footbridge has been recovered after being stolen from his property in suburban Detroit. Robert Cortis filed a police report this week saying that a 40-foot bridge made of steel and wood was stolen from his property in Farmington Hills.
Cortis had planned to move the bridge and set it up at his catering business for taking wedding photos when he noticed that it was missing. But there is a happy ending to the missing footbridge story. According to ABC News, police found the bridge on Thursday, undamaged, in Belleville, about 20 miles south of where it disappeared. There's no word of suspects. (And who would be bored enough to steal a bridge...)
