It may seem like a dream that you could win millions of dollars, but be careful what you wish for. I guess there is something called "The Lottery Curse." I personally have heard, read, and seen stories on news magazines about people whose winning caused disasters leading to divorce, bankruptcy, family problems or even worse.

Well here is news from fox47news.com that could ease the pain of winning.

Michigan state Rep. Pat Outman introduced on Thursday legislation that would allow lottery winners to remain anonymous. The goal is to better protect people who win the lottery from potential danger or harassment, according to a news release.

This bill would allow Michigan lottery winners of games like Mega Millions, Powerball and Lucky for Life the option to remain anonymous. The law now allows winners' names to be disclosed publicly to the media and other outlets. Which can lead to old friends coming out of the woodwork, as well as scam artists and more. Michigan is one of just a handful of states that currently doesn’t allow lottery winners to remain anonymous.

So if you can remain anonymous, you can just tell the people close to you that you won and go into hiding for a while. They say you should take time before you start spending and hire a good accountant you can trust. I imagine you would need a lot of good advice in this situation.
