Forget dissecting frogs - at Croswell-Lexington High (in 'da Michigan Thumb) they're offering taxidermy as a science class this year. They've got 60 students enrolled in two classes and had to turn away about a dozen kids. According to an Associated Press story in the Sioux City Journal, students are responsible for bringing in an animal they either shot, trapped or found dead. And this class does meet the state standards for a science course.

Talk about some hands-on biology.

I'm a HUGE fan of this idea! Here's the story.
