Michigan Grinch: Complaints Won’t Dim The Lights On This Christmas Display
It might only be November, but many Michiganders are already getting into the holiday spirit by listening to Christmas music and planning out what they're going to put up for decorations.
One Michigan house is known for having amazing seasonal yard displays, but recently a couple of grinches have tried to dim the lights and steal all the holiday joy.
"You Need To Stop"
That's what Williamson Township told Cheryl Underwood. Her display was attracting so many people that traffic started to back up on Damon Road. Below is an example of what her front yard looked like for last year's Halloween.
Cheryl told WLNS 6
We just kind of put it on hold, it was actually a letter saying that we needed to modify the decorations because it was too much.
Sorry No Decorations
After the township reached out to Cheryl about her Halloween display, she put a sign out in her front yard that said. "SO SORRY! NO DECORATIONS"
After Pushback, The Display Is Returning
After Cheryl posted the sign in her yard about no Christmas lights and holiday displays, she got a lot of pushback from people that said she needed to do it and that they looked forward to it.
So this past Monday, November 7th she started rolling out the decorations and even had some help from her neighbors.
She's hoping that after changing things up and making a few modifications their won't be any issues, so the entire community can enjoy the CHRISTmas and holiday displays.
