Michigan and Michigan State Will Play For Big 10 Title Saturday
When Minnesota upset 11th ranked Purdue Tuesday night, they made Saturday's Michigan-Michigan State rematch a little more meaningful.
Minnesota made that happen by knocking Purdue out of sole possesion of first place Tuesday night with a 73-69 upset.
The two teams will square off at MSU's Breslin Center Saturday at 8pm. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. The winner will earn at least a share of the Big Ten title with Purdue.
And since both teams own the tie breaker with Purdue, the winner of Saturday's game will be seeded number one in the upcoming Big Ten tournament in Chicago. The loser can be seeded no worse than third, which also means the two teams could meet a third time in the Big Ten tournament championship game.
Michigan State won the first meeting between the two teams back on February 24 in Ann Arbor, 77-70.
