Michigan Accidental Cremation Story Is FAKE NEWS
Here's another example of you can't believe everything you read on the internet...
A story that started being shared yesterday on social media about a funeral home employee in Macomb, Michigan who accidentally cremated his co-worker. The story alleged that a new employee found a co-worker who was napping on a stretcher and mistook him for a corpse and took him to the crematory. A lot of people have been tricked into thinking the story is true because it has the ABC News logo on the website. However, if you look closely the URL is NOT from ABC News--and the story is NOT TRUE. The fake story spread so quickly, even the Macomb Daily News wrote a story to try and debunk it.
