One of my fondest memories growing up in Chicago was going to the Auto Show at Mccormick Place downtown which is the largest convention center in North America.

It is huge with 4 connected buildings and one indoor arena near the shore of Lake Michigan, about 2 miles south of Downtown Chicago. Of course, it was a bigger deal in the Detroit area and something Michiganders look forward to every year.

Many New Cars To See

The 24th one will have over 20 manufacturers of the latest model cars. So head out to Grand Rapids this weekend because the North American International Auto Show in Detroit won't be here until summer.

Dave Lorenz of Pure Michigan. says It’s a real opportunity for Grand Rapids to step up the quality of the show,” Lorenz said during a weekly appearance last Friday. “It’s always been really good, but it’s been here deliberately even with the Detroit International Auto Show, and I think there’s going to be an expanded audience from Southeast Michigan that will be missing the Detroit International Auto Show.

The show will open at 11 AM this Thursday and will run through Sunday. So get the family together and see all the exciting new rides on the way. Especially fun if you will be in the market for a new car this year.
