Popular Michigan Diner May Close Its Grand Rapids Location
The Michigan restaurant scene is always in a state of flux with restaurants opening and closing. Sadly, we may see another closure.
Grand Rapids Diner’s Future Uncertain
There's some uncertainty surrounding a Grand Rapids diner and whether or not it will stay open: Good Truckin' Diner.
The Grand Rapids location of Good Truckin' Diner could be closed before the end of the month.
The diner, owned by Nick Sinicropi, originally made its name in Lansing (first REO Town and now in Old Town) before expanding west and opening its Grand Rapids location in 2023. Known for its all-day breakfast, over-the-top brunch options, and a menu that ranges from burritos to burgers, it quickly became a go-to spot.

But now, after nearly three years, that Grand Rapids location could be closing.
Why Good Truckin’ Diner Is in Trouble
A social media post recently claimed April 19 would be the restaurant’s last day—but that post was later deleted. Sinicropi said it was not authorized, creating some confusion all around.
What is confirmed? The restaurant has been dealing with an ongoing liquor license issue and has been operating without one. That’s created some real challenges, including staffing problems—"front of house employees were expecting to have alcohol sales and are leaving for other jobs now."
When Could the Grand Rapids Good Truckin' Diner Close?
If the situation isn’t resolved, the location could close as soon as April 26. As of right now, the diner is still open—but its future is very much up in the air.

The Lansing location, however, is not affected.
So if Good Truckin’ is your brunch spot, this might be your sign to grab one more meal there… just in case. Otherwise, you'll have to make the trip to Lansing.
