Each of the four floors features a 1963 Wurlitzer Jukebox filled with various Detroit artists. There is even a dance floor made of classic Motown vinyl if the mood strikes you to break out your best moves. It also features a finished basement, a large second-floor balcony, and a gated backyard outdoor space, making it perfect for family reunions or special nights in the city.

The Motown Airbnb is the passion project of owner David King, who was born and raised in Detroit and bought the property in 2015 for $48,000. The home was originally built in 1911, and King has kept much of its original woodworking and resurfaced wood floors. King estimated that the property had been abandoned for about 15 years and was in rough shape when he bought it. He knew he wanted to do something special with it through the renovations.

“There’s got to be something more I can offer to share that experience,” King thought at the time. “What if we turn it into an Airbnb, where we could offer not just a place to stay, but also an experience of the things that made Detroit and Motown famous?”

The Motown Airbnb rents for around $895 a night with a two-night minimum.
