Latest Michigan cloud forecast for the eclipse
Here's the latest from MLive.com about cloud cover in Michigan and surrounding states for the eclipse. The peak of the eclipse will be at 2:24 PM for us in Lansing. We should be clear of thick cloud cover at that time. The further south and west you can be - the better. Remember, don't look at the sun without protective sunglasses and don't drive and try to look at the eclipse while wearing said sunglasses. (Is there really somebody out there that read that and said, "Oh, no. 'Cuz I was totally going to do that"?)
If you work in a shop and have welding masks - SOME - as long as they're dark enough, can be used to view the eclipse.
