Kelsea Ballerini Launches First-Ever Arena Tour in Michigan
Add arena tour headliner to the list of accomplishments for Kelsea Ballerini.
The 31-year-old country star just launched her first-ever arena tour, starting with a subzero stop in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
"When I was 19, (the record company) asked me where I ultimately saw myself," Ballerini recalled backstage before the show. "I told them - rising up from under the stage on a hydraulic lift and headlining arenas!"

Inside Kelsea Ballerini's First Arena Show as a Headliner
Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena allowed fans into the venue early to avoid standing outside amid dangerously low wind chills. It was so cold in the lobby that fans were actually breathing vapor at the concession counters. Temperatures were much warmer inside the arena though.

Ballerini's labelmate MaRynn Taylor opened the show. Taylor, originally from Rockford, Michigan, told the crowd the very first concert she ever attended had been at Van Andel Arena when she was a little girl - she came to see "Hannah Montana".

Ballerini took the stage shortly after 9pm, rising from below the stage and singing the title track to her newest album "Patterns".
"I just want to tell you - since I was a little girl, all I've ever wanted to do was tour arenas," Ballerini told the crowd. "I wanna sing songs and sing along with people and make a room full of strangers feel like we're all best friends - and that's my goal tonight!"
The show was filled with pyrotechnics, set changes, and a collection of album tracks and Ballerini's well-known hits such as "Miss Me More", "Hole in the Bottle" and "Love Me Like You Mean It".
What's Next for Kelsea Ballerini?
The current leg of Ballerini's arena tour runs through early April, when she will pause to appear on the live shows of Season 27 of NBC's "The Voice" - where she is a first-time judge alongside show veterans Adam Levine, Michael Bublé and John Legend.
