Justin Verlander is Throwing a Party For Michigan Veterans
Former Detroit Tiger and now Houston Astro (and new dad) Justin Verlander and his Wins For Warriors organization is throwing a party for 1000 families of Michigan veterans, this Sunday. The 4th annual 1000 Christmas Salutes event will take place at the War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms from 10AM - 6PM. The party is free for active duty and veteran military members and their families, but you have to register for tickets. Currently there are about 100 tickets left. Justin and the organization had one of these parties down in Houston last weekend.
At the party you'll find food, drinks, Santa Clause and several viewings for the new movie, "The Grinch". If you want to find out more and get registered, go to www.warmemorial.org.
