This Two-Story Target is the Only One of Its Kind in Michigan
Living in Michigan, most folks in the Lower Peninsula are not located too far from a Target store.
Afterall, our state has just over 50 locations with only one Upper Peninsula location in Marquette.

Arguably, there isn't anything ultra special about most Target stores since they have similar layouts and sizes.
But one in Michigan is quite unique and we'll show you pictures.
Michigan's only 2-story Target Store
Located in Metro Detroit, Target has a rare two-story building. It's complete with elevators and escalators for humans... and carts.
For those that haven't traveled outside of Michigan (or Metro Detroit) or make it a point to seek out unique Target stores while traveling, you have no idea how cool a cart escalator is in person.
You get to watch it carry your goods up and down while you're on a human escalator next to it.
Location and Parking
Michigan's only two-story Target is located at 2400 S Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302.
Given this location is in a very congested area, parking is limited. Hence the reason the store is elevated.
Parking is beneath the structure, which might trigger claustrophobia for some. From there, you walk over to the elevators or take the steps up to the main level.
For fans of bullseye shopping, this might be a road-trip worthy destination.
