Honestly, ground beef is a go-to of mine, so this recall is a bit of a concern for me, but it should be for all Michiganders, as the recall is statewide. The latest recall was initiated after pieces of metal were found inside of the ground beef, which poses a serious issue for your and your family's health.

Let's be honest, who doesn't love taco night? But probably not taco night with a side of metal.

Nearly 1,065 pounds of fully cooked frozen ground beef have been recalled after a consumer found pieces of metal in the product.

The recall involves 20-lb cardboard cases, each containing four 5-lb bags labeled as Ada Valley FULLY COOKED GROUND BEEF.

Information On The Product

The packages will carry the lot codes of 35156 or 35157 on them. The establishment number will be EST. 10031.

What You Should Do With The Product

No injuries have been reported because of the product recall. The company had voluntarily alerted the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS), prompting the recall. On top of being distributed to Michigan, the product was also distributed to California, Delaware, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.

If you have the product in your possession, you should not consume it. Instead, the company advises you to either toss the product or return it for a full refund at this time.
