Okay, it was really hard at the beginning of quarantine to get comfortable working and being at home so much. I exercised regularly, took walks and ate way too much, which we all do if we spend too much time at home. As the pandemic went on, I got ideas from family and friends on cool, fun things to do at home during our stay at home.

How about having donuts delivered to your door for the whole family? "Krispy Kreme" delivers from many of their Lansing area locations for your next at home donut party. You could do this one day a week. Instead of Thirsty Thursday, make it Donut Thursday with the kids.

Love this one: go out and get an outdoor patio heater. You can find one at any area Lansing Lowe's or Home Depot. That way you can have some outdoor winter hangs. Add some extra heat and do a bonfire and roast marshmallows. Don't forget the hot chocolate!

How about a craft night for the whole family? This is a great idea, especially with the holidays coming up. Go to a craft store, maybe Hobby Lobby on Grand River or Michael's. There are tons of fun craft ideas online for the holidays. Plus it's a great way to get the kids to take a break from the video games and get in some family bonding.

Here are some other things to know and remember during the pandemic:

What are 3 or 4 things you want to get done by the end of the day? Write them all down.

Did something make you happy today? Think of 2 things and jot those down too.

Looking for some good conversation? Check in on someone you haven't talked to in awhile and see how they're doing.

And remember, stay safe and have fun!
