Pandemic Closes a Favorite Downtown Lansing Bar For 10 Days
It's getting to the point now where we are wondering when is this crazy pandemic is going to finally end so we can all get back to normal and all our local businesses will start thriving again.
Living in Downtown Lansing one year ago was pretty tough because many bars and restaurants were either closed or closed very early, many places were carry-out only. It seemed like a ghost town at times.
Sure it's a lot better now in 2022, but we are still seeing closings from the pandemic and omicron is still in the news and affecting all of us all.
Latest Bar Closing For 10 Days
The latest closing is a bar I can walk to right down the street from me and I really enjoy going there. If you like Stober’s Bar like I do, we will have to find another place to grab our favorite beer or cocktail according to lansingcitypulse.com. They will be closed for 10 days because of the COVID-19 cases hitting our local restaurant employees in the Lansing area.
Owner Tim O’Rourke says none of his employees have tested positive for the coronavirus and that all have been fully vaccinated, including boosters. Still, as caseloads fueled by the omicron variant surge across the state, he said that briefly shuttering the bar “out of an abundance of caution” was a safe bet.
Will Reopen soon
Looking forward to it reopening safely soon on Januray 16th. There are so many awesome bars and restaurants in downtown Lansing and I make it a point to support many of them like Stober's bar which is a staple in the community. Stay safe and see you there soon.
