Speed limits are going up around Michigan. Some highways near us will soon - if they don't already - have a 75 MPH speed limit. And while some people believe raising the speed limit is dangerous, according to Priceonomics.com, Michigan State Police say raising the speed limit will make roads safer. And not only that, but Michigan State Police (and most other states) say the perfect speed limit is actually one where only 85% of people are driving at or below the speed limit. Which means they're pretty much fine with 15% of drivers (and I'm looking right at you) driving above the speed limit. The real problem? Drivers who go either really fast or really slow.
