Lansing. Another mall. Another cornerstone business in a mall. That's been around for decades.

And now another business that's closing its doors for good.

Last week it was Sears in Frandor.

This week, say goodbye to Houlihan's in the Lansing Mall.

Houlihan's has been in business for nearly 40 years in the Lansing Mall and closed its doors on Monday (November 11th).

Per their Facebook post:

Houlihan’s Lansing was challenged with high rent and increased operating costs, which ultimately led us to the difficult to decision to close.

“We are doing everything possible to minimize the impact to affected team members,” the restaurant’s Facebook post said. “The company is working to place them at different Houlihan’s locations and is also reaching out to competitors in the area on their behalf. We appreciate your loyal patronage through the years.” (WILX)

People took to social media to share their sadness and fond memories over the years. Some even lamented over the fact that with so many businesses leaving, there soon won't be any reason or places left to go to in the mall.
