Hottest Company on the Fortune 500 List is Headquartered in Michigan
SpartanNash - a western Michigan based grocer and the largest supplier worldwide to U.S. military commissaries and exchanges, is the "hottest company in the U.S." according to Forbes Magazine. According to MLive.com, the company, which was formed when Spartan Stores merged with Nash Finch in 2013, went from #811 on the list to #359 last year.
Also on the Forbes 500 list are 19 other Michigan companies, including Auto-Owners here in Lansing (#425) and CMS Energy in Jackson (#383)
