The name of their service is Abroaders and it was founded by three Grand Ledge High School grads. The purpose of Abroaders? To give away flights home for the holidays so that families can share some time together.

According to the Lansing State Journal, Peter Shankman started the service in 2013 and since then a couple of other frequent fliers have joined the organization. They are giving away their frequent-flyer miles that they've earned throughout the year for business travel to people who present a heartwarming or heartrending story. You can try and win the frequent flyer miles by submitting your story on Shankman's imgur page.

If you'd like to enter his contest, here are some things you need to do:

  • Create an imgur.com account, then make a new post with a photo and the reason you need to go home.
  • Choose  "Home for the Holidays" from the drop-down "Topics" menu and post the item. Those with the most up votes from fellow imgur.com users will get trips.

You'd better hurry, though, because the deadline is Friday (December 2nd, 2016) at 5pm. Good luck!
