Grand Ledge Getting All-You-Can-Eat Sushi Restaurant This Fall
Yeah, you read that right, ALL you can eat, right here in the Lansing area!
If that doesn't sound absolutely amazing to you, then we may not be able to be friends here. I am a sushi fiend and I'm one of those people who, like hot dogs, gets sushi from places people otherwise would turn away from. Like gas stations...I know, I know.
But hey, I know good sushi when I see it and this right here sounds like it will be.
Ohana Sushi - Delta Township
According to FOX 47, Ohana Sushi will be located just off Saginaw Highway in a 6,000-square-foot building that was previously occupied by an Outback Steakhouse that moved in 2017.
The owner, Shubin Wang, told FOX 47 they will have five or six sushi chefs and are looking to hire 30 more employees to serve the restaurant that can seat 200 people inside alone, with room for an additional 40 to 50 people outside.
Yeah, that's a lot of people and a whole lot of sushi going on!
Why Delta Township?
Now, I know what you might be thinking...Delta Township maybe doesn't seem like a "happening" sushi destination. However, Wang tells FOX 47, "in Michigan, we haven't seen people have all-you can eat sushi. We've seen a lot of sushi stores or sushi to-go restaurants."
Wang does already own another restaurants in the area, FOX 47 reports, The Tangy Crab (also in Delta Township) and New China Buffet in Portland.
Collin Mays, the community and economic development coordinator for Delta Township talked to FOX 47 and praised Ohana Group for their "diligence" and says the community is happy to have them there.
When Does It Open
According to FOX 47, the renovations on the building started in July but Ohana Sushi is expecting to open in early October. Just in time for fall...and you can bulk yourself up for the winter with some yummy, all-you-can-eat sushi!
