Lansing has a new addition to the restaurant scene.

If you've been keeping track, you know that the greater Lansing area has seen over 30 different eateries open, ranging from cafés and bakeries to fast-casual and sit-down restaurants. And that's just in 2025 alone.

Now, we have another one we can add to that list.

Newest Restaurant Open in Lansing

Grains Indian Cuisine opened in Lansing.

The official announcement was made August 4th on its social media.

Grains Indian Cuisine boasts authentic Indian cuisine carrying favorite dishes like tikka masala, butter chicken, garlic naan, and more. Plus, it's open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

Where Is Grains Indian Cuisine Located?

If you'd like to give this new place a try, you might be familiar with its location; 1601 S Waverly Road in Lansing. That's the address of the former Flap Jack in that area, which closed back in June of 2023.

2025 is setting up to be a huge year for Lansing when it comes to restaurant openings.

More Restaurants Opening Before 2026

The year isn't over yet, and there are about 15 new places still poised to be open before we ring in 2026. Be on the lookout for an Asian and Mexican fusion place, a local bakery, an Indian-inspired pizza place, and plenty more.
