What’s Still Coming to Lansing’s Food Scene in 2025

The landscape of Lansing's food scene is ever-changing.

The greater Lansing area has seen significant growth when it comes to eateries opening this year, with about 30 openings. Sadly, there have been over a dozen closures along the way too.

Lansing Restaurants Opening in Late 2025

As the next six months of the year are ahead of us, there's going to be continued growth and change.

Lansing, East Lansing, and many of the surrounding areas anticipate eateries opening some time this year.

Here's a look at what eateries are still to open in Lansing in 2025.

Anna's House

Anna's House is slated to open sometime this fall in the former Tin Can on Lansing's west side.

Auntie Anne's Pretzels and Cinnabon

This store looks like it's just about ready to open, just waiting on word of an official date.

Bob's Big Boy

Bob's Big Boy is meant to take over the former Zeus' Coney Island on Lansing's south side. However, no word has been given yet about an official opening date.

Bubbakoo's Burritos

This fusion fast-casual eatery is opening in the former Big John's Steak & Onion near Frandor.

Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A is opening a location on Lansing's south side, on Cedar Street near Edgewood Blvd. It's meant to open before the end of 2025.

Coratti's Pizzeria Bar and Bocce

This pizzeria and bocce bar has been planned in East Lansing for over two years. They're shooting for an opening of August.

Crown Grill

Kristen Matthews TSM Lansing

This eatery, which plans on serving shawarma, seafood, burgers, and more, has signage that says coming soon. It's located on E Cesar E Chavez Ave where Veg-n used to be.

Fat Boy's Pizza

This will be the first of this pizza chain to come to Michigan. It's setting up shop in Downtown East Lansing.

MACOTTA Club

MACOTTA Club is a "food incubator" that will be home to six different restaurants and up to 10 more "food concepts" inside the Knapp's building downtown. They hope to be open sometime this summer.

Panda Express

Panda Express will be taking over the Wheat Jewelers building in Okemos. The anticipated opening date will be in late 2025 or early 2026.

Pizzawala's

This Indian-inspired pizza place plans to open on Grand River Avenue in Downtown East Lansing, next to The Peanut Barrel.

Savvy Sliders

Savvy Sliders is a slider chain that will be opening next to Fat Boy's Pizza.

Side Piece Pizza

The owner's of Fieldhouse in East Lansing purchased the space next door and are turning it into a pizza place.

Starbucks

This coffee chain is opening a new East Lansing location in the former Bank of America next to Trader Joe's.
