Grab a Book and Some Michigan Blueberries And Build Your Rocket
It's a big week for SpaceX. On Wednesday afternoon, NASA and SpaceX will be working together to launch two American astronauts riding a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This will be the first time Americans have launched from U.S. soil in almost ten years.
Jim Kwik says he's the "brain coach" for SpaceX. Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, says - not really. Musk says, "I think he maybe gave a talk once" to members of the SpaceX team. Whatever - the guy seems to have some good tips on how to learn something new. And if you have some free time these days (better get on it, things are about to get a lot busier in Michigan) now would be a good time to learn that one thing you said you always wanted to learn. Yeah - that thing.
According to CNBC.com, Jim Kwik says there are three things you can do to help yourself learn.
1."Combat all those “automatic negative thoughts” (or ANTs) that tell you that tell you can’t learn something new."
2. Eat brain foods, including blueberries (Michigan is consistently one of the top 3 blueberry producing states): "They can help protect your brain from oxidative stress (which is when you have an imbalance of free radicals and antioxidants in your body) and reduce the effects of brain aging".
And 3. Read. Read every day, even it's just for a few minutes. Jim told CNBC, “I think leaders are readers."
There's more in the article, here, but that should give you a start. I look forward to riding atop the rocket you build in your backyard.
