Congratulations to DeWitt's Liz Nagel, who won the 25th Michigan Open women's golf tournament this week. According to MLive.com, Liz was down five shots going into the final round on Wednesday at Crystal Mountain Resort. She shot four under in the final round to finish three shots ahead and nine under for the 54 hole tournament. Liz picks up $6,000 with the win - her first as a professional.

Liz had a huge career at Michigan State, even though she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer during the middle of it all. (It's in remission now) She plays now on the Symetra Tour. They play in Cincinnati this week.
