A Restaurant Blast From the Past is Reopening in Lansing
Plenty of businesses have closed in Lansing throughout the years, as is the cyclical nature of things. However, it's not all the time that one reopens after several years.
I was doing my usual social media scrolling when I saw something that made me stop in my tracks: the announcement of a restaurant now open in Lansing!
Old Restaurant Returning to Lansing
Have you ever heard of Edmund's Pastime?
Edmund's Pastime was a bar and restaurant in Downtown Lansing on South Washington Square, but it closed back in 2014.
Back in 2019, Edmund's made a brief appearance at Silver Bells in the City, but that was basically a pop up event and we haven't seen or heard from Edmund's since. Until now that is...

Now, Edmund's Pastime is open in the former Arcadia Smokehouse and Brewery at 2101 E Michigan Avenue, which is just east of Clemens. Arcadia originally opened in that location, a former bank building, back in 2018. But, sadly closed in early 2023.
If you'd like to give Edmund's a try, they are now open serving up Italian and American cuisine. They also have a pretty extensive beer and cocktail menu.
It looks like Lansing residents are excited about the return of Edmund's. Some people in the comment section of the opening announcement are really hoping they bring back the totchos... which I can only presume are tater tot nachos.
Also, if you were a big fan of their Brunch with Santa events, they're bringing it back at the end of this month.
