A Restaurant is Taking Over the Old Zaytoon Location in Lansing
Watch out, Lansing, because a new restaurant is coming to town. Well, sort of.
At the beginning of August this year, Zaytoon Mediterranean Restaurant on Lansing's westside closed, very abruptly and without warning. There were no announcements ever made on their website or Facebook page.
Two months later, and that building was sitting vacant. Until now...

A Lansing favorite restaurant has decided to take over the old Zaytoon building.
According to the Lansing State Journal, Sultan's Mediterranean Cuisine will be taking over that space.

Sultan's has been a staple in the greater Lansing area for about 30 years now. It first opened in 1995 in East Lansing off South Hagadorn. In 2020, they moved from that location to the one it currently resides, at 1381 E Grand River Avenue in East Lansing.
It's going to be changing locations again.
Sultan's is moving its East Lansing location to Lansing's westside and taking over the old Zaytoon space.
The change is going to take place quickly, too. The East Lansing location will close in November, and before the end of the month, the Lansing location should open, as work is already being done at the property.
It's awesome that the vacant Zaytoon building is going to get new life. However, with Sultan's leaving East Lansing, that does free up that space for another business to open up. That being said, what would you like to see come to East Lansing?
