So I'm on the air this afternoon, just like every weekday afternoon from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. (sorry, a shameless plug here...) and all of a sudden, out of the blue I get a text from our friend Drew Baldridge.

When last we told you about Drew, it was in this article that appeared on our website right here. Drew was one of the stars of our most recent "Taste of Country" concert event at Cooley Law School Stadium in downtown Lansing. As you can see in the aforementioned article, Drew also played a virtual show for the seniors at Northwest High School in Jackson on May 21. Whether you have seniors or not, you obviously know that there has been a lot of "virtuals" these days with all students due to COVID-19.

Drew has struck a chord across all generations lately with his song, "Senior Year", which reflects on some of those final days and experiences of a school's upper class. Of course those senior year days have changed quite dramatically for the most recent graduating class due to the pandemic and a lot of those experiences and days that we have probably taken for granted or even miss won't be happening this year for many.

Anyway, back to my text from Drew. Drew sent the text to tell me that his virtual show at Northwest became a story on News 10 and he was pretty happy about that.

So are we. Check out our friend Drew Baldridge here on News 10, and take a look below at his lyric video for "Senior Year".
