Here's an example of a Kickstarter campaign that went well. It's been years in the making, but Detroit finally has a home for their 10-foot tall statue of Robo-Cop. The statue will be placed at the Michigan Science Center. Venus Bronze Works, the bronze foundry that made the final Robo-Cop statue, is the same company that made the famous Joe Louis Fist.

According to the official Kickstarter campaign update page, "there will be an official installation and unveiling date given later this spring."
